Gamma Eta Sorority was founded at the University of Florida on October 17, 1995 through our founding mother’s Ilena Camilo’s visionary leadership. On August 2, 1999 Gamma Eta was incorporated in the State of Florida. Since that date, Gamma Eta Sorority, Inc. has been guided by our seven pillars of excellence: Strength, Sisterhood, Service, Unity, Leadership, Scholarship, and Diversity. Gamma Eta’s leaders have made a concerted effort to spread the spirit of what binds the sisters of Gamma Eta together by valuing and embracing our pillars of excellence and sharing it with those around us.
Gamma Eta has continued to grow since 1995. To date Gamma Eta Sorority, Inc. has seven chapters/colonies in the states of Florida and Arkansas.
